CLEAR CHANNEL debuted its new Top 40, POWER 96.1/ATLANTA (NET NEWS, 8/29) in a special way last night.  ATLANTA’s own RYAN SEACREST officially launched the station’s broadcast last night at 8p onstage at the PHILIPS ARENA during the ENRIQUE IGLESIAS and JENNIFER LOPEZ concert. 

"It’s exciting to help launch this new radio station, which I’m confident will definitely entertain ATLANTA listeners," said SEACREST. "I am thrilled to be back on the air daily in my hometown."

Complementing SEACREST's appearance, CLEAR CHANNEL/ATLANTA launched a multi-media campaign utilizing CLEAR CHANNEL’s Digital Outdoor displays in ATLANTA combined with unique television support to introduce the new station to ATLANTA listeners.  "Our goal with the launch of the new POWER 96.1 is to bring ATLANTA a new and exciting hit music station with entertaining personalities, unique artist interaction and a fun connection to everything that’s going on in Atlanta," CCM+E EVP/Operations for Major Markets East TOM MCCONNELL said.
