NRG MEDIA/OMAHA has promoted BRANDON "BAM" HOWELL to be the new head of the cluster's marketing department. Currently doing nights on Hot AC KQKQ (Q98.5), HOWELL's new duties will be to further develop and enhance the brands for all seven of NRG MEDIA stations in OMAHA and work diligently to connect the stations with the listeners using on-air, social media, and digital assets.
"BAM is at the core of our listener’s demographic group and has a keen understanding of how our stations need to engage with the end user using FACEBOOK, TWITTER, Instant Alerts and SMS Texting," Market Manager ANDY RUBACK said. "He is highly engaged in our community and works non-stop to promote the radio properties to showcase their assets to the audience."
"I bleed Husker red and I am a huge music fan," BAM said. "My favorite artists of all time are KINGS OF LEON, CAGE THE ELEPHANT, THE BLACK KEYS, SEVENDUST and FRANK SINATRA. I guess you can say I have enough diversity of interests to manage these seven distinct radio brands to our core listeners and advertisers from sports on The ZONE and ZONE2, to understanding the unique modern hit music offerings on Q98.5. We have seven tremendous assets and each one needs to be uniquely presented to the listeners and clients.
"It’s a big job and it’s more than a full-time role with NRG," he added. "I have a lot to accomplish and a great plan to execute that will make these stations more relevant than ever in the lives of our OMAHA community."
