NY Times Ad Revenues Up In May

The NEW YORK TIMES CO. MAY advertising revenues were up 4,4% overall to $184.6 million, with the Broadcast Media Group, which includes the company's sole radio properties, Classical WQXR and RADIO DISNEY affiliate WQEW-A (LMA'd to ABC)/NEW YORK as well as its television stations, saw a 6.6% ad sales increase (3.1% excluding UPN affiliate KAUT-TV/OKLAHOMA CITY, which was added during 2005).
The company has also declared a regular quarterly dividend of 17.5 cents/share on the company's Class A and Class B common stock, payable SEPTEMBER 13 to shareholders of record as of SEPTEMBER 1.
