WPRO-A/Providence To Hold Congressional Debates

CUMULUS Talk WPRO-A-WEAN (NEWS TALK 630 WPRO AND 99.7 FM)/PROVIDENCE will host two live Congressional primary debates next week.

The hotly-contested Democratic primary between ANTHONY GEMMA and DAVID CICILLINE will go to a debate on SEPTEMBER 4th at 6p (ET).  News Director BILL HABERMAN will moderate the event, which has been marked by GEMMA's allegations that a man tried to sell him absentee votes and had claimed that he had sold votes to CICILLINE in the past.

The Republican candidates in the Second Congressional District  will square off on SEPTEMBER 5th at 6p,  MICHAEL GARDINER, MICHAEL RILEY, DON ROBBIO, and KARA RUSSO will be questioned by HABERMAN and guest panelists TARA GRANAHAN and ANDREW GOBELL from the "WPRO MORNING NEWS."
