Rdio Adds 'Protected Account' Features

Internet subscription music service RDIO has added new "Protected Account" features to allow users to control who sees what music they've chosen.

The new features give users the ability to make their profile visible only to approved followers, and to remove followers when they choose to do so.  The Protected Account features must be enabled or disabled in a user's settings (under the "advanced" section). Users may send information about what songs they play to external services like Facebook and Last.fm even if an account is protected.  Reviews, however, remain public in all cases.
