TALK RADIO NETWORK's lawsuit against DIAL GLOBAL, COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS, and several other parties alleging anti-trust and monopoly violations included a statement that the suit represented not only TRN and smaller syndicators but hosts, producers, and others, but at least one TRN host is balking at being included in that group.
PHIL HENDRIE is taking exception to the portion of the suit that read that TRN and its affiliated companies "stand not only for themselves, but also for every smaller independent syndicator, network or programming producer, and for the hosts, producers, technicians and other Americans whose livelihoods are dependent upon these independent syndicators.”
I certainly don’t need them ‘standing up’ for me in regard to this lawsuit, which I don’t support
He responded with a statement that said, “I’d like to make it very clear that TRN does not represent my views and I certainly don’t need them ‘standing up’ for me in regard to this lawsuit, which I don’t support. My livelihood is not dependent on TRN.”
HENDRIE has been syndicated by TRN since JUNE 2007.
