It's a very light day for filings in the FCC database, with no new sale filings and just a pair of Silent STA applications and a closing popping up.
CUMULUS' RADIO LICENSE HOLDING CBC, LLC has filed for a Silent STA for WIBR-A/BATON ROUGE, LA. The station, which had been off the air since 2008 due to storm damage, had briefly returned to the air in JULY with temporary facilities, but the replacement transmitter has failed and the landlord "wants the building restored to its previous condition and there was no insurance to cover the damage." CUMULUS told the Commission that it "is exploring its options for restoring this facility" and will "continue to pursue a permanent solution to its technical problems."
CALVARY RADIO NETWORK, INC. has requested an extension of a Silent STA for FM translator W276BM/PARK FOREST, IL while it moves its facilities. The station is expected to be completed and operation resumed by SEPTEMBER 30th.
And JERRY RUSSELL d/b/a THE RUSSELL COMPANY has closed on the sale of AC KWRD-A/HENDERSON, TX to HANSZEN BROADCASTING for $100,000.
