Former Nebraska Sportscaster Berl Damkroger Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former KWBE-A/BEATRICE, NE sportscaster BERL DAMKROGER, who died TUESDAY (9/4) in LINCOLN, NE at 85, according to the BEATRICE DAILY SUN.  DAMKROGER, a NAVY veteran who served as a rural mail carrier by day, was a familiar voice of high school sports in NEBRASKA for many years until his 1988 retirement.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30a SATURDAY at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH in BEATRICE.  No viewing or visitation will be held.
