Indie label STANDBY RECORDS has shuffled its hierarchy. SHAWN CARRANO, co-founder and the leader of artist development for THE ARTERY FOUNDATION, has been named GM, while TOM "SMITTY" SMITH is appointed Dir./Radio Promotions and Product Management, and MARTI RUBELS has been named Social Media Dir.
"Rock N’ Roll 2.0 is an ever-developing concept," STANDBY RECORDS CEO NEIL SHEEHAN said. "In order to continually grow, expand and introduce the world to the great new artists we’ve signed to STANDBY, we have to have the right people in place to showcase their talents. In SHAWN CARRANO, TOM "SMITTY" SMITH and MARTI RUBELS, I feel we’ve added a knowledge base that covers artist development, radio and online interaction - three of the most important keys to success and growth for the extremely talented artists we have signed to STANDBY RECORDS. It’s Rock N’ Roll 2.0, and that has to be powered by people with cutting edge vision. We have that in place now."
