Bell Names 10 Stations To Be Divested In Astral Purchase

While the CRTC continues its hearings on the C$3.4 billion sale of ASTRAL MEDIA to BELL MEDIA, BELL revealed the ten stations it plans to divest to enable the merger as previously disclosed (NET NEWS 7/11).

In TORONTO, BELL would divest itself of ASTRAL Adult Hits CHBM (BOOM 97.3) and BELL Urban  CFXJ (FLOW 93.5). ASTRAL Adult Standards/AC CISL-A, Triple A CHHR (SHORE 104.3), and Hot AC CKZZ (VIRGIN RADIO 95.3)/VANCOUVER will be spun off, while in WINNIPEG, ASTRAL Country CFQX (QX104) and BELL Oldies CHIQ (FAB 94.3) would be on the block.  ASTRAL Classic Hits CJOT (BOOM 99,7)( and Rock CKQB (106.9 THE BEAR)/OTTAWA are on the list as well, as is BELL Hot AC CKCE (KOOL 101.5)/CALGARY.
