Patricia Cahill Elected Chair, Elizabeth Sembler Vice Chair Of CPB

Former UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY noncommercial KCUR/KANSAS CITY GM PATRICIA CAHILL has been elected Chair of the board of the CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING.  CAHILL was previously Vice Chair of the board and has served on the board since her appointment by President OBAMA in 2009.

In addition, educator and PBS affiliate WEDU-TV/TAMPA board member and former Chair ELIZABETH SEMBLER has been named Vice Chair of the CPB board.  SEMBLER was appointed to the CPB boar by President GEORGE W. BUSH in 2008.

Both CAHILL and SEMBLER's new positions are for one-year terms.
