Winners, Presenters And Performers

The 6th Annual ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC (ACM) HONORS were held last night (9/24) at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE. The ACM HONORS recognizes special honorees and off camera category winners from the annual televised ACM AWARDS.

DIERKS BENTLEY hosted the sold-out event and also performed a tribute to RICKY SKAGGS. DAILEY & VINCENT performed a RICKY SKAGGS tribute as well. CLINT BLACK performed a tribute to ROGER MILLER. LUKE BRYAN performed a tribute to DALLAS DAVIDSON. T BONE BURNETT and BUDDY MILLER teamed up for a tribute to EMMYLOU HARRIS, as did RODNEY CROWELL. HUNTER HAYES performed a tribute to DWIGHT YOAKAM, as did ASHLEY MONROE. WILL HOGE performed a tribute to BOBBY BRADDOCK, as did RANDY HOUSER. Additionally, HOUSER performed a tribute to BILLY SHERRILL. KELLIE PICKLER performed a tribute to BILLY SHERRILL as well.

In addition to hosting and performing, DIERKS BENTLEY also acted as a presenter, as did BIG KENNY, LOUIE MESSINA, STAN MORESS, KELLIE PICKLER, RANDY HOUSER, TROY TOMLINSON, NORRO WILSON, JANA KRAMER and LOVE AND THEFT.

The CLIFFIE STONE PIONEER AWARD, which honors those artists who are pioneers in the Country music genre, went to EMMYLOU HARRIS, BILLY SHERRILL, RICKY SKAGGS and DWIGHT YOAKAM. KENNY CHESNEY received the CRYSTAL MILESTONE AWARD. VINCE GILL was awarded the CAREER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, which is given to those who have advanced the popularity and acceptance of country music through various media and industry endeavors. The JIM REEVES INTERNATIONAL AWARD went to ALAN JACKSON for his worldwide contributions in Country music. GAYLE HOLCOMB was given the MAE BOREN AXTON AWARD for multiple years and dedication of service to the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC. And for their musical and lyrical contributions, songwriters BOBBY BRADDOCK and ROGER MILLER received the POET’S AWARD.
