SCRIPPS HOWARD ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV (ABC 7)/DETROIT anchor FRANK TURNER, who is suing his employer for the right to host a religious show on crosstown Religion WEXL-A, has told the court that the radio station's offer expires on JUNE 30 and asked for a preliminary injunction to allow him to take the position. WXYZ has thus far rejected TURNER's request because its contract with TURNER is exclusive; the station rehired TURNER in 2000 after his fall from grace in a cocaine and phone sex scandal in 1998 and his subsequent finding of religion.
