Former CBS Radio/St. Louis DOS Sues Over Dismissal

KATHRYN PAVELONIS, the former CBS RADIO AC KEZK (FRESH 102.5)-Talk KMOX-A-Hot AC KYKY (Y98)/ST. LOUIS VP Director of Sales, is suing CBS RADIO in ST. LOUIS Circuit Court over her AUGUST 23, 2011 firing, claiming that she was discriminated against.

COURTHOUSE NEWS reports that PAVELONIS alleged in her suit that the discrimination included "excluding plaintiff and other female employees from some important corporate-related social events; and assigning plaintiff and other female managers heavier work loads than similarly-situated male managers."

CBS has alleged that it fired PAVELONIS for serious misconduct, which she denies having committed and counters that a male co-worker committed the same misconduct alleged against her but was not fired.  She is seeking lost wages and benefits plus punitive damages.
