LPFM Transfer, Several Silent STA Requests Filed With FCC

No sales hit the FCC database on MONDAY (10/1), but an LPFM transfer and several Silent STA filings and sale closings did get filed.

Amont the filings, KERMIT RADIO ACADEMY is transferring the license for low-power FM KERC-LP/KERMIT, TX to HOLY SPIRIT OIL FILLED MINISTRY for no consideration.

VIC MICHAEL's CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KQCO/ESTERBROOK, WY for repairs to its solar power array at its transmitter.  CEDAR COVE has also filed for an extension of the Silent STA for FM translator K270AM/JULESBURG, CO, which lost its tower lease.

WHITE PARK BROADCASTING, INC. has requested a Silent STA for KHNA/WAMSUTTER, WY due to malfunctioning equipment and storm damage.

BIBLE BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for FM translators W288BV/KEY WEST, FL, W285EK/MARATHON, FL, and W297AS/ISLAMORADA, FL after the licensee, which acquired the stations on JULY 27th, determined that the stations' equipment had been removed from the transmitter site and the licensee "has not had sufficient time to determine whether and if so, how to resume operations."

NEBRASKA EDUCATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION has requested a Silent STA for K219CE/FALLS CITY, NE due to interference from a new full-service co-channel station, necessitating a frequency change application.

GARY KATZ AND JERRIE RINDAHL-KATZ have closed on the sale of their joint 50% interest in SIERRA RADIO, INC., licensee of Adult Hits KAJK (JACK FM)/SUSANVILLE, CA; Classic Rock KTOR (99.7 THE TORCH)/WESTWOOD, CA; KGXX/SUSANVILLE, CA; Variety KVXX/QUINCY, CA; and a construction permit for a new AM at SUSANVILLE, CA, to partner TOM HUTH for $359,760.

S & S VENEGAS, LLC has closed on the sale of KRBN/MANTON-REDDING, CA to JAB BROADCASTING, LLC for forgiveness of $65,000 in debt. SARA VENEGAS is a 50% owner of both buyer and seller.

PEARSON BROADCASTING OF GAINESVILLE, INC. has closed on the sale of Sports KMAC (ESPN ARKANSAS)/GAINESVILLE, MO to KTLO, LLC for $200,000.

WORLD RADIO LINK, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator W280EE/LEWES, DE to DELMARVA BROADCASTING COMPANY for $25,000.

And REACH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translators W251AL/FORT MYERS, W286AK/NAPLES, and W268AH/BONITA SPRINGS, FL to BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP's WRXK LICENSE LP for $150,000
