ESPN RADIO will cut live to coverage of ADAM GREENBERG's return to the major leagues for one at-bat, over seven years since his first major league at-bat ended with his beaning. GREENBERG, whose debut with the CHICAGO CUBS on JULY 9th, 2005 resulted in getting hit in the head by the first pitch from the then-FLORIDA MARLINS' VALERIO DE LOS SANTOS and sent to the hospital with post-concussion symptoms that knocked him out of affiliated baseball, will get an at-bat for the now-MIAMI MARLINS in TUESDAY's game against the NEW YORK METS. GREENBERG has been playing independent minor league ball but the at-bat will mark his first appearance in the majors since his 2005 debut.
The at-bat will most likely occur during the HILL AND SCHLERETH show, 7-10p (ET) on TUESDAY. ESPN RADIO will cut to MARLINS flagship Sports WAXY-A-F (THE TICKET)/MIAMI, with MARLINS radio voices DAVE VAN HORNE and GLENN GEFFNER calling the plate appearance.
