WEYE Sale Closes; Arizona CP Sold

POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE RADIO has closed on the purchase of Classic Country WEYE (EAGLE 104.3)/SURGOINSVILLE-JOHNSON CITY-KINGSPORT, TN-BRISTOL, VA from ASRADIO LLC for $275,000.  EDDIE ESSERMAN of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP was exclusive broker for the deal, representing the seller.

Also, TED TUCKER's COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES LLC is selling the construction permit for a new FM, KCKO-F/RIO RICO, AZ, to MARTHA PONCE's JJS MEDIA, LLC for an undisclosed price.  The station has a construction permit for 1,000 watts at 659 feet above average terrain on 107.9 FM from a site just northeast of NOGALES, AZ on the Sonoran border. The transaction has not yet appeared in the FCC database; KALIL AND CO. is exclusive broker for the deal.

And JESSICA LUND has been granted a construction permit for a new station on 1100 AM at LEBANON, OR over the objection of BICOASTAL MEDIA LICENSEES II LLC.    The new station will run 3,900 watts daytime and 1,500 watts at night; BICOASTAL's earlier objection that the new station would overlap second-adjacent KPNW-A/EUGENE, OR was granted a year ago and LUND subsequently amended the application.
