As ALL ACCESS reported earlier this year (NET NEWS 1/20), 12 GUAGE COMICS released a four-part series of comic books that starred SHOW DOG-UNIVERSAL MUSIC artist TRACE ADKINS, called “TRACE ADKINS IS LUKE MCBAIN.”
The comics were distributed at more than 4,000 comic book stores nationwide, and were so popular, that 12 GUAGE COMICS has decided to compile them into a graphic novel. In addition to the original 4 comics, the novel contains unreleased extras such as a cover gallery, character designs, script pages and more. The novel was written by television’s “True Blood” writer, DAVID TISCHMAN with help from 12 GAUGE COMICS’ publisher KEVEN GARDNER and ADKINS. It is illustrated in full color by MTV’s “Punks” artist KODY CHAMBERLAIN, with the cover by “BATMAN” artist, BRIAN STELFREEZE.
The story follows LUKE MCBAIN as he returns to his small LOUISIANA hometown after serving a 14-year sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. Things have changed for the worse in the town, and it’s up to the 6’ 6” action hero to take a stand for what’s right.
“TRACE ADKINS IS LUKE MCBAIN” is available in bookstores across NORTH AMERICA and will be released for digital devices in the coming weeks.
