Jackson Browne To Headline KCSN Benefit Concert Amidst Programming Enhancements

CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY/NORTHRIDGE Triple A KCSN/Los Angeles is set to go into its fall pledge drive this FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6th with plenty of exciting news according to the LA TIMES.
Starting OCTOBER 18th, KCSN will bring NIC HARCOURT back to morning radio with a weekday drive-time show from 6-11a (he was doing a weekend shift). JIM NELSON, who was doing mornings. moves to middays. And midday host MEISHEL will concentrate of her Operations duties.
Additionally, the station has hired former INDIE 103.1 FM MD MARK SOVEL to handle the same job for KCSN. He can be reached at (818) 677-5546, or at mark@kcsn.org.
Then on NOVEMBER 18th, the station will host another big-name benefit concert, this time with JACKSON BROWNE headlining an evening where he will be joined by JONATHAN LITTLE, SARA WATKINS and other friends.
The station has also introduced a brand-new logo with the handle "Smart Radio."
Finally, KCSN has been developing special relationships with some clubs in town such as FEDERAL BAR and HOTEL CAFÉ with more in the works.
Of the benefit concert GM/PD SKY DANIELS said, “KCSN is blessed to have engendered the commitment of a true legend and one of the most influential songwriters of our time, The idea of JACKSON participating in the concert happened backstage at last year’s KCSN benefit starring TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS. He felt the magic in the room, and volunteered on the spot to take part in this year’s show.”
During the pledge drive, the station is offering its KCSN MUSIC SAMPLER II, which features artists such as LISSIE, DAWES, DRY THE RIVER, WALK THE MOON and more.
