LOTUS COMMUNICATIONS/BAKERSFIELD's five-station cluster has been nationally recognized for its support of the Children’s Miracle Network. LOTUS/BAKERSFIELDreceived the "Most Innovative Practice" award for having the most successful and innovative fundraising campaign.
Despite BAKERSFIELD being ranked the fourth poorest city in the nation, LOTUS’ radiothon raised nearly $80,000 in pledges and donations that will directly benefit their local MERCY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and its efforts to save premature babies.
