SANDUSKY Rocker KDKB/PHOENIX is taking full advantage of this political season with their "Mock The Vote" promotion. Morning-drive host SCHMONTY and PM-driver NEANDERPAUL are battling for listener votes -- and actually paying them to listen to the tune of $1,000 per day -- starting on OCTOBER 15th. KDKB also has signs popping up all over the PHOENIX area urging listeners to vote for either SCHMONTY or NEANDERPAUL.
In describing the "Mock The Vote" campaign, the station's website boldly proclaims, "It’s that time again! There’s nothing you can do to avoid it. It’s your civic duty. Every four years, you get a chance to express your preference for who you think should lead the greatest nation on the planet. We wish we could tell you that we have some amazing way to make this process any less annoying."
The site also says "Thankfully, we aren’t in that business. We’re every bit as tired of the mud-slinging that seems to go on forever. So, as we get down to the final weeks of the silliness, we’re going to “Mock The Vote” and throw two more options to distract you: SCHMONTY and NEANDERPAUL!"
