Veteran Industry Executive Wayne Brown Passes

ALL ACCESS has learned of the passing of veteran industry executive WAYNE K. BROWN, who lost his battle with liver cancer. 

BROWN spent more than three decades in Urban radio management, marketing and sales. Most recently BROWN was working with STEVE HEGWOOD's new ATLANTA  translator hip-hop station, STREETZ 94.7 where he was serving as GN. 

BROWN's managment career path includes a stop in CHARLOTTE where he managed CBS RADIO's Urban cluster. He served in a similar capacity for RADIO ONE's ATLANTA cluster. He was a much respected and beloved member of ATLANTA's media community. 

BROWN was a graduate of SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY, a recipient of a number of media awards and a native of WASH.INGTON, DC. He leaves behind a wife NYESA,and two sons. BROWN was 55. Our condolences to his family and many friends.  Funeral arrangements are pending.
