CBS RADIO Country KILT/HOUSTON MD/evening personality BROOKE MERIS will be exiting the station at the end of OCTOBER, to take a position as Manager Of Regional Promotion for COLUMBIA NASHVILLE. Her last day at KILT will be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31st.
"In the two years she’s been with our station she’s become an invaluable member of our programming and on-air team and has been integral to our stations growth; including taking a leadership role in the improvement of existing station events such as TEN MAN and the creation and booking of new events such as GIRLS WITH GUITARS,” said PD MARK ADAMS. ”While I’m very sorry to see her go this is a great opportunity for BROOKE that will afford her an opportunity to pursue her other great passion aside from radio; working with and helping develop Country music artists. Our loss is COLUMBIA’S gain. I have no doubt she’ll prove as valuable to their team as she has for ours."
In her role at COLUMBIA NASHVILLE, MERIS will report to VP/Promotion NORBERT NIX who said, ““We are all very excited to have BROOKE join the COLUMBIA NASHVILLE Promotion team. Her knowledge of radio and her passion for Country music makes her the perfect choice to represent our music to radio!”
MERIS will be based in HOUSTON.
ADAMS will be searching for BROOKE’S replacement and can be contacted at madams@cbs.com.
