MEDIA LATINO COMMUNICATIONS (MLC) is launching a new 24/7 radio network targeting Hispanic Adults 18-34, La Numero Uno, which broadcasts live from LOS ANGELES in a state-of-the-art digital studio and sends the signal to affiliates utilizing COMREX ACCESS BRIC system.
La Numero Uno features JOSE ANTONIO CASTRO as host of El morning show de TONO, which plays a minimum of 11 songs per hour. D’Tocho Morocho in afternoons will be hosted by two female personalities who entertain listeners with a music-driven show.
Programming is available 24/7 or by syndicated shows. Already on board are KBAA/SACRAMENTO; WAUC/SEBRING, FL; and KOEZ/ST. GEORGE, UT, with others being added shortly.
"We are very proud of the La Numero Uno product, and have put a lot of hard work and energy into this network," MLC GM JESSE RIOS said. "And it really shows, as the response on the streets has been electrifying. We are delighted to be able to provide the La Numero Uno network to our valued clients, and it is a product that will catapult our affiliates to the top of the ratings in their markets. Hispanic radio has never been more alive than it is today, with the country’s Hispanic population growing more than four times faster than the general market, which bodes well for the Mexican Regional format, and La Numero Uno will continue to provide our clients with positive results, book after book, year after year!"
"I am really excited in the way that La Numero Uno is taking off, and this is one of the best products that we’ve ever put together," La Numero Uno PD ABEL QUINONEZ said. "The format is tremendously popular with listeners 18-34, as well as with older adults 25-54, and it really has mass-appeal in all its markets since it features the hottest new artists as well as the classic favorites, with the programming presented in a unique and appealing way that is designed to engage listeners and deliver ratings to each of our respective markets."
