TOUCAN COVE/UMG Indie Rock artists THE VILLAINS recently stopped by the ALL ACCESS offices in MALIBU, CA to play some acoustic versions of tracks from their sophomore release, "Velocity." The album was produced by STAN LYNCH, formerly of TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS, and BILLY CHAPIN, who has worked with EDWIN MCCAIN.
The band played "Cadillac," "Rainy Day Girl" and their latest single, "This Is Nowhere," from their latest CD, and finished off their set with a great version of the old PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE classic "Amie." The five-piece band hails from ATLANTA and includes MAGNO, DAN CALL, SEAN MCNALLY, MICHAEL WILKES, and JIMMY JAMES SCHMITT. Each has recorded and performed with many mainstream and indie artists from NASHVILLE to NEW YORK.
