WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist JANA KRAMER has broken a record with her debut single, “Why Ya Wanna.” This week (10/8), the tune has so far climbed to the #3 spot on the MEDIABASE Country singles chart. That is the highest that any female’s debut single has ever reached. The previous record holder was TAYLOR SWIFT’s debut single, “TIM MCGRAW,” which peaked at #5.
“The fact that we got to where we’re at has just been crazy. It just shows that the WARNER staff has been great. And Country radio embracing it the way they have, I’m super thankful,” said JANA.
Additionally the RIAA has certified “Why Ya Wanna” as Gold this week.
