Eli Young Band’s Jon Jones Loses His Father To Lung Cancer

Condolences go out to JON JONES of the REPUBLIC NASHVILLE group ELI YOUNG BAND. JONES’ father, ALLEN EDWIN JONES passed away in FORT WORTH, TX on MONDAY, OCTOBER 8th after fighting against lung cancer. He was 74.

“He was always on my side when it came to playing music,” said JONES. “Ever since my parents started me on violin at the age of 2 ½. he even predicted… years before the band was formed, that I would have a big future in Country music.”

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE or THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY.
