The day after announcing "SEATTLE'S MORNING NEWS" co-anchor LINDA THOMAS' move to the new position of Senior Features Reporter and Digital Journalist (NET NEWS 10/16), BONNEVILLE Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE has announced the move of market veteran and evening host JOHN CURLEY to the morning show, starting MONDAY (10/22). CURLEY will co-host the news block with co-host TOM TANGNEY and news anchor URSULA REUTIN.
“My goal every morning is to make sure anyone listening gets to work feeling a little smarter and a little happier,” said CURLEY, known for his years on crosstown NBC affiliate KING-TV before taking over evenings on KIRO in 2011. “I want our show to be as necessary as that second cup of coffee in the morning. Tea drinkers are welcome, too.”
"JOHN is unbelievably talented. He brings a lifetime of lessons to add a personal perspective and a storyteller’s sensibility to SEATTLE'S MORNING NEWS," said PD LARRY GIFFORD. "He also has an irresistible charm and enough energy to fuel the entire PACIFIC NORTHWEST."
