BIRACH BROADCASTING CORP. has placed Silent WKGE-A/JOHNSTOWN, PA up for sale, reports the JOHNSTOWN TRIBUNE DEMOCRAT.  RAY ROSENBLUM is serving as broker for the sale, with asking price of $250,000 (BIRACH paid $300,000 for the station, then WNTJ-A, and WCND-A/SHELBYVILLE, KY in 2007).

The station recently requested a Silent STA from the FCC due to transmitter problems (NET NEWS 10/16).  Once heritage local station WJAC-A, the 10,000-watt station at 850 AM most recently simulcast a Talk format with WWGE-A/LORETTO, PA as "THE EDGE."
