PROVIDENCE Talk veteran STEVE KASS is returning to BRISTOL COUNTY BROADCASTING Talk WSAR-A/FALL RIVER, MA to host 3-6p (ET), starting OCTOBER 29th. KASS, most recently Exec. Dir. of BOG BROTHERS OF RHODE ISLAND and before that a spokesperson for the RHODE ISLAND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY, started in talk radio at WSAR before long stints at WHJJ-A and WPRO-A in PROVIDENCE.
“Coming back to WSAR is like returning home after being away for 32 years," said KASS. "WSAR provided me with my first opportunity to be a radio talk show host. What a year to start a new adventure in talk radio: Prop 2 ½, the takeover of the American Embassy in TEHRAN, Gov. REAGAN, JOHN ANDERSON, State Rep ANDY CARD, are but a few of the events and guests that occurred in 1979. I have no doubt 2012 and beyond will be even more stimulating as we face so many challenges going forward. Best of all, being reunited with BARRY RICHARD and PAUL GIAMMARCO, two certified broadcasting pros, provides the icing on the cake. Let the games begin.”
“STEVE’s extensive background in both the private and public sector gives him an ocean of experience and knowledge that few talk hosts can offer,” said GIAMMARCO, the station's GM. “STEVE's professionalism and extensive radio experience will be a great benefit to the entire SOUTH COAST community."
