Hunter And Josh Will Rock For KRock

GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS Active Rock WKRL(KRock)/SYRACUSE has hired HUNTER AND JOSH for mornings, crossing the street from CUMULUS Active Rocker WAQX(95X)/SYRACUSE. HUNTER AND JOSH have also signed a long-term contract with KRock and will begin hosting mornings TOMORROW.

With the arrival of HUNTER AND JOSH,the station has released morning personality DEX MITCHELL, PD/midday personality NIXON and CANDACE KIRBY, who handled nights.

"There hasn’t been a local morning show in SYRACUSE, as long as I can remember, that has started from scratch and has become a top-tier program within two years," said GALAXY Pres./CEO ED LEVINE. "The fact that these guys have been able to do that with no promotion or marketing backing them is amazing.  They are going to do great things on KRock."

HUNTER AND JOSH commented, "After we resigned, our cars ran out of gas on Walton Street.  We walked in to a building asking to use the phone.  They directed us to a dark room where a man with a cigar and a parrot asked us to sign our names on the 'log.'  Come to find out, that building was GALAXY and that man was ED LEVINE. We now work for KRock."

Predictably, HUNTER SCOTT (the HUNTER of HUNTER AND JOSH) is no longer the PD of WAQX. According to LEVINE, WAQX let the contracts for HUNTER AND JOSH expire and they left the station after TUESDAY morning's show. By TUESDAY afternoon, LEVINE had them aboard at KRock.
