Knife-Wielding Man Arrested At WCIC Studios

An incident at the studios of NEW LIFE MEDIA Contemporary Christian WCIC/PEORIA, IL ended with an armed man arrested for aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon and criminal trespass.

The PEORIA JOURNAL STAR reports that ROBERT T. TRENT was taken into custody THURSDAY morning after wielding a knife at the station; Police spokesperson Lt. ELIZABETH DOYLE told the paper that "it appears that he has mental health issues" and was known to employees but that when police arrived, "he put the knife down and reasonably cooperated."
