ARISTA NASHVILLE artist and radio personality KIX BROOKS is hardly recognizable sans his trademark mustache in the new movie “Thriftstore Cowboy.” The film is set to premiere TOMORROW (10/20) at the 2012 HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL. BROOKS plays the character of WADE LOCKLIN, a good guy who falls in with a bad crowd. He also sings an original song for the flick. To watch the trailer for “Thriftstore Cowboy,” click here.
BROOKS has another movie, also premiering this weekend, at the AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL AND CONFERENCE in TEXAS. It is called “To Kill A Memory.” BROOKS plays the character of bank robber ring leader, DUKE DONOVAN. STONEY CREEK RECORDS artist RANDY HOUSER also has a part in the film. Both movies were directed by DUSTIN RIKERT. No word yet on if they will be distributed to theatres.
