WAY-FM Celebrates 25 Years

In 1987, BOB and FELICE AUGSBURG had a vision to bring contemporary Christian music to the radio in SOUTHWEST FLORIDA. 

OCTOBER 9th marked the 25th anniversary of that sign-on by AUGSBURG of WAY-FM on Christian WAYJ/FORT MYERS FL. To celebrate, BOB joined long-time WAY-FM/FORT MYERS host and GM JEFF TAYLOR and co-host JOY MCBRIDE on the air for a special anniversary show.

Over the past 25 years, the ministry has grown to 19 owned and operated full power radio stations, a radio network serving stations coast to coast and almost 100 staff members nationwide. Listener-supported WAYMEDIA, INC., including WAY-FM and WAY Media Network Services, airs on over 120 radio stations in 26 states. Markets served include; DENVER, NASHVILLE, WEST PALM BEACH, LOUISVILLE and PORTLAND.
