Alabama Sports Talker Arrested For DUI

GREAT SOUTH WIRELESS Sports WZZN (97.7 THE ZONE)/HUNTSVILLE, AL morning host and former AUBURN football player COLE CUBELIC has been charged with DUI, reports NBC affiliate WAFF-TV.  CUBELIC was arrested shortly after 3a (CT) FRIDAY morning and charged with DUI, open container of alcohol and speeding.  He will not be on the air this week, according to the report.

In a trio of tweets on SATURDAY, CUBELIC wrote, "As some are aware, I was charged with a DUI citation last night. I hope all will allow the legal process to unfold and appreciate my fundamental presumption of innocence throughout. As well, I acknowledge the seriousness of the charge and assure all; I do not champion drinking and driving."
