FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A WFUV/NEW YORK morning host CLAUDIA MARSHALL, who has been on WFUV since JANUARY, 2001, announced on her program and in a blog post that this FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26th, will be her last day on the air at the station.
"After twelve years of the 3:30a alarm, it's simply time to move on... and to sleep in," MARSHALL explained. "I have some exciting things in the works and when the time is right, I'll share them. I've had opportunities here that I would not have had at any other radio station on earth. I hope you'll give CORNY your support while the station searches for its next morning host."
"WFUV's listeners have always appreciated CLAUDIA's smarts, friendly style and warmth on the microphone," said GM CHUCK SINGLETON. "We'll certainly miss her gift for connecting with listeners and artists, and we wish her the best. It’s a rare opening at WFUV, and we’ll take this opportunity to consider how we can build on CLAUDIA's success."
