BIG MACHINE RECORDS artist TAYLOR SWIFT is surpassing records of all kinds with her recent album “RED” that released YESTERDAY (10/22).
Within, 36 minutes, the album topped the all-genre Top Albums chart at iTUNES (reaching #1 at iTUNES throughout the day in 32 countries) and first day sales at iTUNES alone were at 262,000. SWIFT also scored 13 of the Top 20 songs on iTUNES and has 4.5 million song downloads up to this point in the U.S. alone. TAYLOR’s “Speak Now” album in 2010 surpassed 1 million sales in its first week and had the highest one-week sales in TARGET’s history. At this rate, “Red” is looking to surpass the numbers for “Speak Now.”
TAYLOR SWIFT has been making her way around the country to promote her album as well. She performed THIS MORNING (10/23) on ABC-TV’s “GOOD MORNING AMERICA” (GMA). SWIFT performed her songs “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Red” and “Love Story.”
