Radio One Sells WJKR To Salem

WJKR's New Owner ... New Format Coming Nov. 1st

RADIO ONE, INC. has announced the sale of Adult Hits WJKR (98.9 JACK FM)/COLUMBUS, OH to SALEM MEDIA OF OHIO, INC., a subsidiary of SALEM COMMUNICATIONS. Financial terms of the sale was not disclosed. 

The deal's closing is subject to customary conditions, prorations and adjustments, including approval from the FCC. RADIO ONE expects the transaction to close shortly after final consent from the FCC. However, under a local marketing agreement, SALEM will be providing programming for the station on NOVEMBER 1st, 2012.
