Former S.I.N., RCA and CAPITOL RECORDS executive TONY MONTE has created and executive-produced "Taste Makers," a TV show merging celebrities with food. Debuting on WPIX-TV/NEW YORK on OCTOBER 27th, Taste Makers "features celebrity guest interviews combined with a reveal of the restaurants they frequent for their favorite meal." The chef originating their dish re-creates it in a "Recipe Segment," which is followed by everyone eating the meal and discussing food and fame.
MONTE teamed with two-time EMMY nominated news feature reporter LISA MATEO, from the PIX 11 Morning News who hosts the show. "LISA is one of the most intelligent, talented and endearing personalities on television," said MONTE. "She has embraced this opportunity with a fire and energy that's contagious. Having her host Taste Makers in the #1 market in the country has given everyone involved the confidence it will connect with viewers of all ages and backgrounds. She's made Taste Makers come alive."
OSCAR-nominated actor DANNY AIELLO, who filmed an episode of Taste Makers, said about the show, "If I were an Executive Producer and anyone approached me with this kind of show -- I would do it. I know this show will be a success and I haven't had this much fun in God knows how long."
MATEO commented, "Whether you enjoy filet mignon or a slice of pizza, everyone is a Taste Maker. We highlight a love for food from some of the brightest stars in all areas of entertainment and visit places our viewers will come to know and love. I'm having a blast meeting people, learning delicious recipes and finding great places to eat along the way!"
MONTE added, "This opportunity, given by ERIC MEYROWITZ at PIX 11, is one of a lifetime. It’s a privilege as well as humbling having ERIC's confidence to produce Taste Makers, which originated from a sleepless night. I'm blessed, being surrounded by my partners, family, friends, crew and many associates from the music industry that helped develop NEW MUSIC DIRECTOR and now Taste Makers. I'm committed to producing informative and entertaining programming, while creating a work environment where everyone is valued, respected -- and has a great time in the process."
