Former WOL Host, PD Bernie McCain Dies At 75

Condolences to family and friends of former RADIO ONE Talk WOL-A/WASHINGTON PD and host BERNIE MCCAIN, who died OCTOBER 13th in WASHINGTON of renal failure at 75, according to the WASHINGTON POST.

MCCAIN joined WOL as its first PD in its Talk format in 1981, joining the station from crosstown GREATER MEDIA Talk WWRC-A.  Born in NEWARK, MCCAIN worked at stations around the world over the course of his career, starting at WNJR-A/NEWARK and including stations in CLEVELAND, ST. LOUIS, RICHMOND, SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND, AND BALTIMORE.
