CCM+E Urban WGCI/CHICAGO PD KRIS KELLEY has been tapped as PD at sister Top 40 WKSC (103-5 KISS FM). She's replacing RICK VAUGHN, who left to program Top 40 WWPW (POWER 96.1) and Top 40/Rhythmic WWVA (WiLD 105.7 and 96.7)/ATLANTA, (NET NEWS 8/30).
CCM+E/CHICAGO OM TONY COLES said, "I am proud to announce the promotion of KRIS KELLEY to Program Director of 103-5 KISS FM and 107-5 WGCI. We have the two most powerful youth-targeted brands in the market and I cannot think of anyone more qualified to lead these great stations. Over the past several years KRIS has demonstrated her ability to help drive ratings and revenue at WGCI. She has recruited and developed one of the most talented teams in Urban radio and I am excited to now have her expertise as a part of our WKSC strategy.
"As a result of our decision to expand KRIS' role, we will be making some other changes today as well. KRIS will relinquish her midday duties at V103. We have already begun the search for a new host. Also, we are expanding the duties and responsibilities of the APD role. JORDAN has done an amazing job at KISS FM during this transition. He will continue in that role, and will play an more active role in the day to day operations under KRIS’ guidance. At WGCI we are launching the search of an APD who will have similar responsibilities. AL SYLK will continue in his role as MD at WGCI."
KELLEY added, "I am thrilled to join the very talented team of WKSC and continue working with the amazing staff at WGCI. I'm looking forward to continuing to bring great radio to the city of CHICAGO!"
