Restructuring At UMG Continues After EMI Merger

In the wake of the merger between UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP (UMG)/NASHVILLE and CAPITOL/NASHVILLE, more changes have been made. Although no official statement from UMG has been released, sources tell ALL ACCESS the following moves have been made:
UMG NASHVILLE SVP/Promotion ROYCE RISSER will oversee all four imprints -- MCA, MERCURY, CAPITOL and EMI. CAPITOL SVP/Promotion STEVE HODGES will head the CAPITOL promotion efforts, with MERCURY VP/Promotion DAMON MOBERLY and MCA VP/Promotion VAN HAZE also remaining in place. CAPITOL VP/Promotion SHANE ALLEN will now work with all four labels.
Exiting TODAY (10/26) is EMI VP/Promotion KEVIN HERRING. HERRING joined EMI in MAY, 2012, after leaving SKYVILLE RECORDS. Previously, he spent many years at LYRIC STREET RECORDS.
Taking over as VP/Promotion on the EMI side will be current Midwest Regional JIMMY RECTOR. Before joining EMI this year, RECTOR did a short stint at SHOW DOG-UNIVERSAL MUSIC and prior to that, was VP/Promotion at COLUMBIA RECORDS/NASHVILLE.
Also exiting TODAY is MERCURY/NASHVILLE West Coast Rep PAT SURNEGIE, who has been with the label since 1991 and CAPITOL Sr. Dir./Artist & Media Relations DIXIE OWEN.More details on the UMG/CAPITOL restructuring as they become available
