WSM To Air New 'ASCAP Songwriters Show'

TOMORROW (10/31) OPRY ENTERTAINMENT Country WSM-A/NASHVILLE will launch a new radio program called “THE ASCAP SONGWRITERS SHOW.” The weekly program will air every WEDNESDAY from 2-3p (CT). It will showcase a different ASCAP songwriter who will perform live in the studio and talk about the songs they have written throughout their career.

“More than possibly any other radio station in AMERICA, 650 AM WSM understands that it all begins with a songwriter. After all, the phrase ‘MUSIC CITY USA’ was coined on our airwaves, and we are thrilled to partner with ASCAP and REGIONS BANK to provide this one-of-a-kind showcase of incredible NASHVILLE talent on our one-of-a-kind radio station,” said WSM’s GM, TOM ENGLISH.

Songwriter BEN HAYSLIP and THIS MUSIC/ WARNER CHAPPELL publisher RUSTY GASTON will be the guests on the premiere episode of “THE ASCAP SONGWRITERS SHOW.”
