J.D. Kunes Leaves OM Post At Radio One/Columbus

After nearly 14 years as OM at RADIO ONE/COLUMBUS, J.D. KUNES and the company part ways as his post has been eliminated. KUNES had also been PD at Adult Hits WJKR which was sold SALEM, but oversaw the whole cluster which included Urban WCKX and Urban AC WXMG.

KUNES, who has never been separated from his company during his entire career, remarked on how surreal it all felt, but was very upbeat, telling ALL ACCESS, "I want to thank RADIO ONE as well as (Chairman) CATHY HUGHES, (CEO) ALFRED LIGGINS and (VP/Programming) JAY STEVENS and so many others for this great position. I've been so lucky and blessed to have worked in this industry for so long and be a great ambassador for radio as it's a terrific medium, and I'm eager to discuss what's next."
