MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS Talk KDAL-A/DULUTH morning hosts KEN BUEHLER and JOHNNY LEE WALKER were suspended for the use of a common vulgar term for strip club on last WEDNESDAY's show, reports the DULUTH NEWS TRIBUNE.
BUEHLER and WALKER were discussing WALKER's going-away party -- he was scheduled to exit the radio business at the end of the week -- when BUEHLER suggested they go to a strip club, using the offending phrase. BUEHLER sat out the rest of last work and is returning to co-host with PAT CADIGAN TODAY (11/5). WALKER was not on the air for his final day at the station last THURSDAY.
“It’s not a word you can’t say, it’s just not KDAL appropriate,” KDAL OM MARK FLEISCHER told the NEWS TRIBUNE.
