JELLI has tapped broadcast media expert and digital product strategist FRED BENNETT as Chief Business Development Officer. The newly created position "signals JELLI's broadening partnership with radio for programming and advertising solutions that deepen engagement, deliver actionable audience insights and increase revenue," the company said in a press release.
"I'm excited to be at JELLI, working with broadcasters to advance their programming and advertising strategies, and to further transform listening experiences," said BENNETT. "The JELLI platform provides sticky social engagement and unique user insights that satisfy both advertising sales and programming."
A 20-year broadcast industry executive, BENNETT was previously Pres./GM of METRO TELEVISION. Before that, BENNETT was SVP/Affiliate Sales at WESTWOOD ONE, and VP/Operations and Programming at SHADOW TRAFFIC.
"FRED's vast broadcast experience, including his success with on- and off-line product integration, makes him uniquely qualified to help our radio partners maximize the JELLI Platform for generating ratings and revenue growth," noted CEO MIKE DOUGHERTY. "FRED understands the challenges and goals of programming, sales, and management, and can develop customized strategies that will fit the needs of each of our partners."
