Longtime WDVH Host Jim Brand Dead At 78

Condolences to family and friends of longtime WDVH-A-F/GAINESVILLE, FL PD and host JIM BRAND, who died NOVEMBER 3rd at 78, according to the GAINESVILLE SUN.

BRAND started his career at KGKO-A/DALLAS at 18, then worked at KDOK-A/TYLER, TX, KOKE-A/AUSTIN, KICN-A/DENVER, WAKY-A/LOUISVILLE, WMPS-A/MEMPHIS, WLEE-A/RICHMOND, WMEX-A/BOSTON, and WQYK/TAMPA.  He joined WDVH in MARCH 1970 and served there, other than two brief stints in TAMPA and a run at sister WRZN-A/HERNANDO, FL, until his MAY 2012 retirement.
