In their latest post on Radio Insights, HARKER RESEARCH's RICHARD HARKER and GLENDA SHRADER BOS ask, "Will iHEARTRADIO Kill Radio?"

They write, "Is iHEARTRADIO a gateway to radio's salvation, radio's best chance to remain relevant in a digital world? Or is iHEARTRADIO an apocalyptic doomsday machine that will ultimately destroy broadcast radio as we know it?

"We fear the latter because there's a risk that aggregating similar sounding stations from across the country may backfire, drawing unflattering attention to local radio's declining focus on serving its community with unique programming."
