The main transmitter site for GATEWAY CREATIVE BROADCASTING Christian KLJY (JOY FM)/ST. LOUIS caught fire SATURDAY (11/10) and forced the station to go to a backup tower and transmitter. They are currently operating at reduced power, about 10% of their normal 100kw output.

The timing is unfortunate, as they are just beginning their "Stand In The Gap" fundraiser, to help raise the next annual payment for the purchase of the station. Having embarked on a 10 year plan to completely pay off the debt, the upcoming installment is $1.5 million.
