CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS and Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK host GERALDO RIVERA is hosting his show live TODAY (11/12) from a SALVATION ARMY disaster relief site at ISLAND PARK, LONG ISLAND to raise money for Hurricane SANDY victims. RIVERA will be joined by "SMASH" star and former AMERICAN IDOL singer KATHARINE MCPHEE, who will match every donation dollar for dollar up to $50,000 through her MCPHEE OUTREACH charitable foundation.
“I was looking for the organization on the ground that was doing the most to help Hurricane SANDY victims,” said MCPHEE, “and I found that to be THE SALVATION ARMY.”
“There is no one who does more with less than THE SALVATION ARMY,” added RIVERA. “I’m hoping that my listeners and sponsors will step up and match the MCPHEE OUTREACH’s grant to raise more than $100,000 to help people rebuild their lives in the wake of this weather disaster.”
